R&C is about one hour drive from Piero’s house, the meeting with Claudio is fixed for 2pm. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Claudio who sacrificed a day’s holiday to show us around. Armed with high res camera and digital camcorder, hyper professional tripod (thank you Franco) and notebook full of questions for our interview, we set off for Quarna Sotto, a small suburb and the location of the factory. I have taken some snaps during the journey which I am printing to show the beauty of the surroundings.
The journey towards Quarna
About half way, we found the “Santuario della Madonna del Sasso”.
Lake Orta is also looking beautiful… we’re a bit late but I cannot resist putting this view on camera.
After a few minutes of small winding roads, we are finally there! At 809 metres above sea level we enter Quarna Sotto.
A few more seconds and we are in front of the R&C gates with 5 minutes to spare. Maybe I have been speeding a little…
While we await Claudio’s arrival, we take the opportunity for a “historic” photo.
